Register to LPA

Since March 2004 producers seeking to utilise National Vendor Declarations (NVDs) need to be registered with the Livestock Production Assurance (LPA) Program.

LPA registration is the first step towards enabling a livestock producer to obtain and use NVDs (displaying the LPA logo). NVDs are available for Cattle, Sheep, Goats, Bobby Calves and EU Accredited PICs.

Before proceeding with registration please ensure that the following information is on hand for each Property Identification Code (PIC) or Tailtag number that you wish to register:

• PIC/Tailtag number
• Contact information: Manager's name, postal address, location address, telephone number, email
• Livestock species raised on property: Cattle, sheep, goats or bobby calves.
• Additional optional information: Mobile, Facsimile

Note:  

(i)  Persons registering a PIC must be the legal owner of a PIC or an authorised representative of the legal owner.

(ii) PICs are validated against the National Livestock Identification Scheme (NLIS) Database at time of registration.
